A Request Based on the 1989 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child 

We are searching for children whose rights, as guaranteed by the 1989 United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, may not be fully protected.

Every child, regardless of nationality or family circumstances, has the right to maintain family relationships, receive an education, express their views freely, live in safety and grow up in a healthy environment, and preserve their own culture, language, and identity.

I am trying to learn where these children are and what their current situation is, in the hope of taking the first step toward protecting the rights that every child deserves.

Every child has the right to maintain a relationship with both parents and should not be separated from either parent without compelling reasons.

If a child is separated from one parent, the child has the right to maintain personal contact and direct communication with that parent, unless doing so would be contrary to the child's best interests.

When one parent lives elsewhere, the child also has the right to know that parent's whereabouts and well-being.

Parents who do not live with their children have a responsibility to provide financial support to help ensure the child's welfare.

These children wish to see their father.

They were taken from Japan to Vietnam after being misled. Every child has the right to maintain a relationship with both parents. If a child is prevented from exercising that right without lawful justification, such a situation may constitute a violation of the child's rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

he Right to Education

Children have the right to receive an education that meets their individual needs and supports their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.

Through education, children can grow into responsible members of society who understand and respect the rights of others.

My children were taken from Japan to Vietnam. They are not attending school and, to the best of my knowledge, are not receiving any formal education.

If children are being denied access to education, this may constitute a serious violation of their fundamental rights.
